Mai El-Gammal is a cultural worker and a professional in the film industry. Her experience spans film promotion and distribution, film programming and Management of Support Programs with 15 years of experience in the Middle East and Europe.
El-Gammal holds an MA in Cultural Studies from the University of Karlsruhe. She worked for DOX BOX e.V. where she managed programs including the Residency and the Consultancy, She worked with various film festivals in different capacities, such as DOK Leipzig, IDFA and ALFILM
El-Gammal currently serves as Programs Manager at NAAS, The Network of Arab Alternative Screens, where she is responsible for designing and implementing internetwork discursive and collaborative programs.
